Socks. They can be tricky. Here, the grey sock makes the loafer look like a boot. A boot loafer? Would rather have him gone with a colored sock to break that up. Or no socks. The loafer should stand alone, not be morphed into something it is not. (I’ve not mentioned the lapels of the blazer, which are rather large and seem a bit out of proportion with his body. I do not want to get too critical here. I believe in personal style and the “sartorial business judgment” rule, meaning a guy will dress himself how he wants without adherence to rules (…but the way he ultimately looks is his doing.) Looks like a cool dude though.
